long time...

So today I decided to look at my blog...and upon doing so I discovered it has been months since I blogged. Today I have decided to remedy this with a blog over viewing all of the important details up to date...so here we go!

School is out for the semester and I start summer school on Monday. I can't remember how much I have blogged so from here on in there may be some repeats from earlier blogs...since about February we have been working on baby makes three...as of yet we have not reached that, but we are still trying. Josh finally graduated last Saturday...it was a big deal, I am so super happy :-) I am also going to be the maid of honor in my friend Katie's wedding in September. Also Josh has started a new job at Hy-Vee. I can't think of anything else overly exciting to share at the moment...

A Long Weekend

This past weekend has been a long rough weekend. Mostly the problem was I have been diagnosed with an ear infection. And from Friday through Sunday I was miserable as a result of said ear infection. Finally Sunday I could not take it any more and went to the Clinic in the Mall. They gave me meds, now my ear infection has mostly cleared up. And as a result most everything that I had before the ear infection has started to clear up as well. So in the next few days I should be back to pretty much 100% health, which will be nice. So as long as I manage to get through the next couple of days I should hopefully not get sick again for awhile.

Today is a day of respite! Not only have I started to finally feel better, but I only have one class today. Of course in a way this is sad, because my history prof. is sick, which is never good. And my management class is cancelled because my prof. is out of town at a conference. So life is starting to look up! After yesterday I was convensed my week could only get better and so it seems to now be getting better. I do need to snap out of my sadness.

While I missed getting to see my sister this weekend I am pretty pumped, we are planning a trip up to Duluth to see my sister over spring break. I can hardly wait. I love my little sis so incrediably much. I miss her lots and lots. This holds true for my big brother, I love him just as much and miss him tons too, but last year my spring break included a trip to see him, so it is only fair that this year my spring break includes a trip to see my sis.

I am waiting for Josh to get done with class. I am so excited for the chance to get to eat lunch with my hubby. Not that I don't eat with him like every night for supper, but there is something exciting about eating lunch with him at school. And it is a suprise to him, cuz he was already in class when I found out that my class was cancelled. So in just under 30 mins. I get to suprise him :-) Now hopefully I won't get distracted and loss track of time.

I should really think about working on some of my homework while I wait for Josh...not that I really have that much homework...

Sadness

I am so sad today :-(. My family was going to come and see me today, but sadly daddy is having teeth problems. So they are stuck in Rochester for the day while I sit sad in Kato, with nothing to do today, but homework. I am very sad that I do not get to see my lil sis today. I was so excited to get to see my sister today. Such is life, but well at least I should hopefully get to see my sister in like a month for Spring Break. I hope that I will be able to.

Hello Again

Well Hello Again. It has been awhile since I have had any time to hop on and blog. Which my dear husband has been reminding me of, often lately. But he is right it has been a while since I have blogged. Yes life is busy. I have been working very hard trying to maintain my 3.1 GPA and trying so hard to pull it up even higher...I am shooting for a 4.0 by the time I graduate next spring.

This week has been a busy and stressful week for me. I have in the last week taken two tests, and written a 5-page paper. This makes for a very time consuming endeavor. In addition to school I am helping my dear friend Katie plan her wedding in the honored post of Matron Of Honor. On Friday we went wedding dress shopping, which was tons of fun, but we have barely even scratched the top of the barrel, so I think we are going again either this weekend or next weekend. She looks so pretty in all the dresses, she is defiantly going to have a hard choice to make :-) We will see maybe this time around she will find a dress she falls absolutely in-love with. But we have picked out the bridesmaids dress which is important to me as the MOH.

Also big news around our house, we are trying to find a car. This is of course a major undertaking as we try to scrap together as much money as humanly possible as quickly as humanly possible. We are trying to get the car by the middle of March at the latest, but we will have to see what happens. Other big news we have officially gone off our birth control, but are not exactly trying to hard at the moment. One of these days we will begin to try in earnest, but have not yet. And if we do get pregnant we will be happy, otherwise we shall see what comes to pass in the next year or so.

Bad news around our house is that we have both been sick a lot over the last month or so. I have been sick almost continuously, I just can't seem to get fully healthy. I have been working so hard at the daycare and I haven't had the time to rest enough to fully recover from one thing before the next one hits. I am already looking forward to Spring Break to take the chance to recover.

Another thing going on, we have begun planning a vacation for August. We have begun to discuss where we would like to go, so if anyone has any ideas the suggestion would be appreciated. I think we are considering a trip to a location with mountains present. Otherwise we have not come to a consensus as to where exactly we would like to go. Maybe we will be heading to Montana or Wyoming area. I personally would not mind a trip to Yellowstone or even to the Grand Canyon. Those are thoughts that I have had about our little trip but if you would like to suggest a trip, I would really be open to hearing about them....

Josh's Christmas Present...

Here are a few pictures I took while making Josh's Christmas present...

I am pleased to report that thus far Josh is having as much fun opening his calender every day as I did in making it. I was worried about how he would like it, and he loves it!

BTW 129 days left until Josh's Graduation :-)

Grades...Christmas...etc.

So we got our grades this week. I am very pleased with my grades. I was able to pull out three A's and A- and a B for a semester GPA of 3.66 bringing my overall GPA up to a 3.08. Now I have three semesters to bring my GPA up to a 3.30, I am not even entirely sure if that is possible, but I am determined to try.

On top of all this I am getting pretty excited for Christmas. I have not even finished the Christmas shopping yet, but I am hoping to get it done Sunday when I go shopping with my friend Katie. The presents that I do have are pretty much all wrapped and ready to go. All that I really have left is finishing Josh's surprise. I am excited to share what I made, but as Josh reads my blog on occasion I must wait until after Christmas, I do intend to include some pictures if I can get some.

This past week I worked every day 8:30-4:30. I know that my next paycheck is gonna be pretty nice, which is good as there will be bills to pay. Next week I am working Monday and Tuesday the same hours, which will help make the paycheck all the nicer. I do enjoy my job, but I am pretty sure I am not cut out to work at a daycare all day every day for the rest of my life.

After a long week and not a whole lot of sleep, I really need to sleep. This past week the electricity went out no less then twice. One time the electricity went out in the middle of the night waking my up, making me all the more tired for work. The second time the electricity went out it was while I was watching the end of Mamma Mia with my friend Kristi. At least that time the movie was almost over, so really all I missed was the end credits. By the way, the movie was pretty good, much better than I had expected. Well once again I am off to bed, and hopefully I will be able to fall asleep...

sleep...

It is 12:15 AM Monday December 15, 2008. I should be sleeping, but have found that I am wide awake. Tomorrow I begin a week and a half of 8 hour work days, 8:30-4:30 every day. That is way I should be sleeping, since I need to be awake at 7 AM. So needless to say I am going to be one tired cookie tomorrow, unless of course somebody declared Mankato a winter emergency and all nonessential University employees get the day off, then I don't have to work. Alas that is totally unlikely despite the -40 wind chills. At least we don't have to go outside any farther than running from the car to work and from work back to the car. And it is nice that I have the remote starter, if the car will start at all with those wind chills...anyways I think typing is starting to make me sleepy, so I am going to try once again to sleep. If I don't fall asleep this time I might be back for another blog post...hope not though so I have a chance at getting a semi-decent amount of sleep. Good Night world!!!
